How to store jewelry to keep it looking great for a long time?
To ensure that the jewelry I create for you maintains its appearance and looks great for a long time, it's worth following a few rules regarding storage and care.
1. Store in a dry place
- Moisture can cause metal corrosion and weaken glues used in jewelry (if applicable to a given model).
- Keep jewelry in a dry, airy place, preferably in a closed box.
- Do not store it in the bathroom – high humidity promotes tarnishing and rusting.
2. Use pouches and dividers
- Loosely stored jewelry can tangle, scratch and get damaged.
- Keep each piece separately – in a soft fabric pouch, e.g., velvet or microfiber.
- You can use an organizer with dividers or a box with soft lining.
- You can use the jewelry box if it was provided with your order.
3. Avoid contact with water and chemicals
- Water, detergents, and cosmetics can cause loss of shine, discoloration, and corrosion.
- Take off jewelry before bathing, swimming, and washing hands.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, hairsprays, and creams. Put it on after using them, not while applying products to your skin or hair. Wait for them to absorb or dry.
4. Clean regularly, but gently
- Dust, sweat, and residues can make jewelry lose its sparkle.

6. Take off jewelry for sleep and physical activity
- Jewelry can tangle, bend, or break during sleep, and sweat can accelerate its deterioration.
- Take off jewelry before sleeping, exercising, and doing household chores.
7. Use moisture absorbers
- Moisture can accumulate in closed boxes.
- Place a sachet of silica gel or a piece of chalk in the box – they will absorb excess moisture.
8. Handle with care
- Jewelry should be handled gently; do not throw or pull. Be careful not to drop it.
